What is Trauma-Focused Therapy and is it Right for You?
Trauma-focused therapy sessions intend to help you discover skills and improve coping strategies to better respond to reminders and emotions associated with or surrounding the traumatic event. This is a form of psychotherapy that is evidence-based to help manage the impact of those traumatic events and the lasting effects that trauma has on an individual. Some of these skills include anxiety management and relaxation strategies that are taught in a variety of ways.
